I have been having numbness and tingling along with itching on my upper back for years. I was told it's something called Notalgia Paresthetica. I also get shooting (nerve pain) alot in the area under my left breast kind of between the ribs. Nerve blocks and radio frequency ablation haven't helped. I looked at an MRI report of my cervical and thoracic spine. Apparently I have herniation of C4-C5 and C6-C7. The thoracic area shows some dessication. My question is could my symptoms be caused from the cervical herniations? Where do I go from here? Also, of note, lidoderm patches don't really help the itching problem which is driving me crazy! Should I see a neurologist? Might surgery help to correct these problems?
