Numbness, vertigo, whiplash

After more then a year of seeking help I have run into a dead end. Though I was not involved in a
car accident my neurologist states that I am suffering with whiplash. But because all vestibular tests,
ENG's, MRI's, medication and treatment have not 'cured' or found a problem I am now being told
that nothing is wrong with me and I am trying to 'milk' the system. I have suffered for years with
allergies, dystonia, spasmodic dysphonia, barretts syndrome, etc. I am 40 years of age and this is the
first time in my life I have suffered with daily vertigo. The vertigo can begin at any time of the day
depending on how much physical activity I am involved in. The vertigo does not happen when I am
lying flat but upon rising to a sitting, standing, or when I am walking the vertigo is triggered. I
experience numbness on my left side which grows progressively worse. At one time, when I was first
diagnosed with whiplash, my entire left side became paralyzed briefly and the numbness lasted more
then 20 hours. Earlier this week I also suffered debilitating numbness which lasted for 12 hours. My
left side was immune to feelings of hot or cold. During the time of vertigo I hear a very high pitched
ringing in my right ear though strangely it seemed to come from the left ear for a long time. In addition
I am dealing with extraordinary fatigue. If I am in one position for too long, such as driving, I suffer
extreme neck pain two days after and overall achiness. Before injuring myself(lifting a very heavy
object over my head and into a dumpster at work) I worked at a full time job with no time off due to
sickness or injury. Because there has been very little support I have had to do my own research and
have wondered if I might be suffering with a form of cervical vertigo.
