Numbness in fingers while asleep

I often wake up with numbness in my fingers... Both hands from wrist down.
This generally occurs while asleep but also later in the evenings while awake lately.
My initial search indicates the Carpal Tunnel as the culprit.
Looking for a solution as this has started to disrupt my sleeping signinificantly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there. You could be suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome which is caused by irritation of median nerve at the wrist. Anny condition that exerts pressure on the median nerve can cause carpal tunnel syndrome which includes numbness and tingling of the hand. Diagnosis is based on symptoms, physical exam signs and confirmed by nerve conduction testing. Treatment may include rest, immobilization of wrist in a splint, ice application, B6 supplements, NSAIDS, surgical release of band of tissue around the wrist. Consult a neurologist and discuss your options with him. Take care.

Sounds like CTS.  I would have a Neurologist confirm this.

There are wrist/hand splints you can use; you can use them at night.
