Numbness

Hello .. I woke up two days ago and the right side of my body (from my shoulder to the toes) has gone numb.  More percisely, my skin is numb.  I do not have any numbness on my face and my vision is fine.  I do not feel any weakness either.  I have been tired for about a month but figure that is from the new job but maybe I was wrong.  I sleep on my right side or my stomach. I do have a dull pain in my right hip but it is the kind of pain that I wouldn't even register if not for the numbness .. as this is really making me think about how I feel and what I do.

The docs office suggested that perhaps I've pinched a nerve. I have an appointment in a few days but just thought I'd put some feelers out there in the mean time.

OOPS - I did not finish my last post before sending it sorry.  I have had numbness for 2 months now & my MRI came back fine.  I am still waiting to find out what it is.  My best to you.  Take care.

Sorry to hear about the MS diagnosis.  I just read your post for the first time & was going to suggest that it might be a migraine since that is what happend to me.  I saw spots then got a really bad headache.  I am glad that you were able to get to the doctor so fast

Never did receive any comments on this but I thought I would add a final note provide anyone who comes across this post with the results.  I had an MRI and once the neurologist reviewed the results he determined that I have MS.

Update:   Several hours after I posted this question I becan to see spots.  I went to the ER as I was concerned that I may be having stroke. Well it wasn't a stroke .. but I still don't know.  The ER sent me for a CT scan which I had yesterday morning.  I met with the neurologist about an hour later and he said my brain was normal.  He did some other tests and determined that I need a MRI as the extent of the numbness appears to indicate something with my spine.  I'm also concern it could be MS.  I know a couple of people that have MS and they both said that numbness was their first symptom.

Any thoughts?
