Pick’s disease not so much to prove that it's Alzheimers, but rather to look for other things it might be that could be potentially treatable.
There is a correlation between apolipoprotein E4 and Alzheimer's. Perhaps the test you mentioned has something to do with that. If you remain curious, perhaps you could give some context information and maybe I or another neurologist could try answering your question again.
