Occipial Nerve

I have a friend that is in her 60's that was diagnosed today with the Occipial nerve (not trianicle nerve) she was down in the LA area for what she thought was going be surgery but when the MRI's show it to be the Occipial nerve they are telling her to get the blocking of the nerve done. She has had this done but for the Trianicle nerve (sorry for any mispelled words) it seemed to help for a short time, is this the same shots or in a different areas (6 shots last time in around the neck area). She was also told by another person (non Medical back ground) that there was a mineral that she can get over the counter, was told it was called "Far Codes Mineral", I tryed to seach for it on the web but with no luck, I'm not sure of the name is right or if such a thing. She has also tryed painkillers, all kinds of meds that were given by Dr's, nothing seems to work for length of time. Any information on this would greatful to us. Also how long does this take to heal? This has been going on since mid Sept. of 2007, when she got her teeth pulled on both sides on the bottom. Again any information would be of great help.
