One pupil dialated with severe pain
Recently I have been getting severe pain around my temples/front of my head that lasts about 5 minutes and right after I realized one pupil was dialated way more then the other one.  Any ideas on what this might mean?

Hi there!

Headaches can be caused by a variety of reasons often categorized into primary headaches, secondary headaches, and cranial neuralgias. The primary headaches include tension headache, migraine cluster headaches and similar pathologies. Secondary causes can be due to sinusitis eye problems, etc and the cranial neuralgias that include the trigeminal neuralgias. Dilation of a single pupil could occur with primary cranial headaches or a few secondary causes such as raised ICT, though without a clinical evaluation it would be difficult to differentiate between the causes. I would suggest getting this evaluated by a primary care physician or a neurologist for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
