PLEASE HELP ME!!

I am a 21 year old male. Smoker. I am in the military and about two years ago I was lifting a gun overhead and my shoulder made a weird noise and went dead for a few minutes. After that it was fine but I would get some tingling in my fingers sometimes. I went to Iraq for a year and now my whole left side is messed up. I get really bad sharp chest pains, my left index finger will not move up, the whole left is in pain sometimes, and the left shoulder makes weird noises when I move it. Usually after a couple days of chest pain my ribs feel very sore. I have had just about every heart test done and they all say the heart is fine. Also when I am sittin if I arch my back forward just a little it hurts very bad. I had an MRI of my neck and it said I have some bulging of discs but the Doc said it's not that bad. I have been going to a neurologist and he did some EMG test and said there is damage somewhere but he doesn;t know where. Army docs kinda suck. Could all of these symptoms be linked to one thing? Does it sound like and injury or some sort of disease? Please give me any ideas you have so I can try to give my Doc some hints. It is mostly the chest pain that I want gone because it is so close to my heart and scares me. Also sometimes I wake up with a bad headache and feel kind of dizzy like. Thank you for your help.
Thomas

thanks so much for the response, I kind of thought that is what it was but these docs i tell ya, no good at all! I am most likely going to have to wait till I get out and see a real civilian doc and not these army quacks! Thanks again for the response.

It sounds like you pinched a nerve in your shoulder and neck. It does cause the chest pain too. Can you see another neurologist for a second opinion. Maybe some physical therapy to strengthen your shoulder. I injured mine in 1991, and it is still not right.  You may just have to learn to compensate for the loss of strength. Good luck.and thank you for your service to our country. God Bless
