PN - Lead Poisoning?

Hi, I'm 52.  Two days ago I was told at a Hospital visit from an ER Neurologist, that I have Small Fiber Peripheral Neurology.  I've had several weeks of intense burning pain in both feet, now moving up slightly on my lower legs. I've had hot feet for some time.   I have had no accidents recently and am fairly healthy otherwise.  I do not have Diabetes.

37 years ago I had a gun accident.  A 22 handgun with a bullet containing 100+ bird shot pellets, I believe they were lead.  All the pellets went into the top of my right foot, surgery removed 25-50 back then maybe 6 months after the accident, I was around 15 years old then.  I have an XRay that is 27 years old showing 75 pellets all in the top of my foot throughout top to bottom of my foot many lodged inside the bone.  They've been there all these years.

My followup apt with a Neurologist is some time away.  Is it possible of even likely that I have LEAD poisoning from this old accident?
