POTS & Neuropathy

Hi there- I was initially diagnosed with functional weakness (ie all in the mind!!) but now my tests show I have POTS. I have had 24hr BPM & HR which were abnormal. I also had a test called multi-site photoplethysmography which measures how well your blood vessels constrict on the tilt table test. Mine "wobble" like crazy. Interestingly my sister had vascular problems also with abnormal transcranial doppler. I also have other signs of autonomic neuropathy- I am doubly incontinent and tests on bladder and bowel were abnormal. They did some kind of electrical test on my back passage which was abnormal and consistent with local autonomic dysfunction.

As my bladder tests showed spasticity in my bladder and I have spasticity in my legs it has been suggested I might also have a motor neuropathy. So I wondered what tests might be done to check that???????

All my problems started after a viral infection- they have been relapsing and remitting since (including two major relapses climbing at altitude). I am great most days on midodrine, baclofen and aspirin. Other days my walking is bad- much worse without baclofen.
