Pain in lower back, legs and numbness in feet

by vinudeu, Aug 31, 2009 01:26AM
Since last three days I am having pain in my lower back in the right side which radiates to my right leg and there is also numbness in my right foot. I cannot sit at all not even for 10 seconds. The pain becomes unbearable. But I dont have any problems in standing or walking. Sleeping causes some discomfort but not as much as sitting. Please help me.

Hi,
The pain in the back and legs and numbness in the foot is most probably due to spinal nerve compression. It could be sciatica, disc herniation, disc protrusion causing the symptoms. Please go for an MRI of the spine and consult a neurologist for the examination and diagnosis. Physiotherapy and decompression of nerves may relieve the symptoms. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
