Pain in neck, shoulder, arm and hand with problems swallowing...

I am a 24 year old caucasian woman who has a medical history of kidney
stones and kidney infections, bladder infections and t.b.  A few months ago I started expeierencing what I thought to be something stress-related or just kinks in my muscles from sleeping in an odd posision...you know, like the cramps in necks from losing your pillow on the floor?  This is the third time it's happened and I don't know what to do.  I wake up in the morning and can't move, my neck, back, shoulder and left arm all the way down to my hand hurts like a dull, throbbing constant pain and it's only in my left side.  Also, my left hand feels tingly and I have trouble holding things that are heavier than a glass of water without spilling it or dropping it, I feel very weak in my left shoulder, arm and hand.   I can't sleep because it hurts so bad and I am can't eat because I've been having trouble swallowing and feeling nausiated.  I'm also feeling dizzy and agitated and my legs have begun to spasm, mostly my left leg near my thigh.  I had thought that this was all due to stress or just 'sleeping on it wrong' when the pain began in my neck and shoulder...but these symptoms last for several weeks and I can hardly move around while they are going on.  Just typing this is making my
so tired and the pain in my left side is so bad that I will need to rest in a few moments.   Just the act of laying down or getting up once I am down causes such pain in my left arm, shoulder and the left side of my neck that I have to stop, grit my teeth and tears come to my eyes.   I don't know what to do since I am not working and I have no money to pay for any medical treatment or even to be seen by a doctor.
Any insight or advice would be very, very welcome.
  Thank you.

Dear Ami,
You need to be evaluated by a physician, ideally a neurologist.  Your arm
pain, weakness and numbness are of concern, especially for a person of your
young age.  It is understood that you have difficulty with access to medical
services, but your condition warrants a thorough evaluation.  There are services
available to patients in your situation with regard to free clinics and other
government sponsored means to access medical care.  You should seek out these
services to investigate the issues you describe above.
Good luck.
