Paresthesia and itching

Paresthesia and itching

Beginning in July, I  began to regularly experience a sort of "pins and needles" sensation on my forearms, stomach area, knees and thighs. It is accompanied by a feeling of heat and intense itching on those areas. I noticed a change in the texture of the skin as well, like there were small goosebumps there all the time, and after itching them, they become red and more pronounced. The sensation lasts for 15 - 30 minutes and then goes away. It seems to occur in no particular pattern, but I am trying to find one. There have been no changes in my diet or shampoo or anything. The only thing I am allergic to is cats. I can't seem to find an explanation. It is now mid-August and I am waiting for a physical before I consult my doctor. What's wrong with me?
