Paresthesias

by Arlene880, Sep 11, 2008 07:38PM
I am currently having pins and needles all over my body and it is bothersome and hard for me to fall asleep at night.  I take iron for borderline anemic.  I had viral encephalitis when I was 18 and I am currently 38.  In my 20's I began having the paresthesias and I have seen neurologists with various tests.  My MRI showed residual damage from the encephalitis, but otherwise the doctors say they are not sure why I have the paresthesias and I do not have MS.  For 2plus years I have not had the paresthesias, but recently they have returned.  It is concerning and I just was wondering what could be the cause of them.  I still fear MS.
