Part of your brain dies off.

Can one of the lobes in your brain die? And can you tell if that happens?

Hi.

The brain lobes do not actually "die", they just get damaged.

There are certain clinical presentations that would suggest a particular brain lobe injury if it occurred, including motor and sensory problems, as well as some higher cortical functions.

In any event, it would be best to consult a neurologist if any neurological symptom arises that could suggest brain injury.

Hope this answers your query.
