Past Bilateral Vertebral Artery Dissection and Pain

2 years ago i had bilateral verterbal artery dissections.  i have "healed" and am off coumadin and now take 325mg aspirin daily.  i have never had the headaches i have had like i do lately.  the entire left side of my head hurts mostly behind my ear straight down my neck.  to move makes me nauseated.  i take 3 aleve and 10mg of amitripelyne (sp) and even have flexeril.  NOTHING works.  i went to the hospital when my left arm was weak about 3 weeks ago.  it is still weak all day everyday and i am in pain more often than not.  i cannot pinpoint any triggers.  i have had MRI/MRA of the head and neck 3 weeks ago and all looked OK.

is this just some super migraine?  would an ultrasound of the carotids show something different than the MRI's?  i have fibromuscular displysia and there was some evidence of it in my carotids.

there are "stroke screenings" in my area that i can sign up and go to.  should i or should i trust the MRI/MRA?  i was awake all night in pain wishing to die and not wanted to die at the same time.  i kept thinking i should get up and go to the hospital but i was just there and there was nothing to see.

scared. alone.  feeling like an idiot once again!  does anyone know really how a person with a dissection SHOULD feel after recovery?  is it possible that pain will always be there?
