Peripheral Neuropathy??

The palms of my hands are more red than usual.
I have those ''prune'' wrinkles on the backs of
my fingers.  I feel a burning and sometimes
itching in my palms.

Derm MD said not a ''skin'' issue but thinks
it is a circulation issue.

I am not diabetic although it is quite present in
my maternal line, including one sister.

I had Graves' Disease and have been
on Levothyroxine for about 15 years and
labs are always right on.

I inject B12 monthly.

Any thoughts on what is going on here?

Many thanks

In the past, I have been careless with laundry and cleaning chemicals...but
that was 6 months back or so.   I began wearing gloves for everything
when this skin condition began.  I have used a good dozen of ''healing
hand and skin creams" with no improvement.

I have no DVT nor polycythemia. The itching on the palms and between
fingers has become an issue.    Any other suggestions?

Thank you

Hi!
Hyperthyroidism by itself is a cause for reddish hue to palms and wrinkled skin. Even if your thyroid levels are normal, you have an autoimmune process in the body that is attacking your thyroid. So this can cause your symptoms.
Soap, detergents, polycythemia vera and deep vein thrombosis are the issues that should be looked into. Please discuss with your doctor. Take care!
