Peripheral Neuropathy

I have had Peripheral Neuropathy now for 3 years no pain but 24/7 constant tingling in my feet and hands fells like I have on gloves and socks. I got this on Nov 2005 after 6 months of Chemo. I had a battery of tests done in the fall of 2006 at GW hospital in DC. The results were that Dr. Kelly said that he could not do anything for me.  This was but frustrating and demoralizing that I have this condition to look forward until  I died. Not to promising I don't know what to do and it is much harder now to coup with it. Can anyone help

     How are you? Peripheral neuropathy is disorder of nerve(s) apart from the brain and spinal cord. Patients with peripheral neuropathy may have tingling, numbness, unusual sensations, weakness, or burning pain. The most common causes are diabetes, post herpetic neuralgia, vitamin B deficiencies, with use of drugs like vincristine, metronidazole, isoniazid; auto immune diseases, alcoholism, exposure to harmful chemicals etc.

The treatment for a peripheral neuropathy depends on its cause. If a specific treatment isn't available, the pain of the neuropathy can usually be controlled with medications. The simplest treatment is acetaminophen, ibuprofen, or aspirin.
I would suggest that you get a work up done for the possible causes of peripheral neuropathy and take appropriate treatment for the same.
