Peroneal Nerve Palsy

Peroneal Nerve Palsy

My daughter was diagnosed with Peroneal Nerve Palsy about 2 1/2 years ago which was caused by Osteochondroma. She was operated on in February 2008 to remove the tumor but has had several nerve conuction tests which are showing that she has severe moderate nerve damage. She has the drop foot syndrome and has to use a AFO/splint to be able to walk without falling over. We have been to the hospital today and they now want to examine the nerve to see if there is any scaring. The problem is it has been nearly 3 years and she still can not lift her foot up. My daughter is now 14 years old and is a typical teenager where she wants to dress up and do normal activities like other girls her age but is restricted to live a normal life. She is unable to do any sports at school. What we would like to know is could the osteochondroma have come back and what else could possibly be done to enable her to have full movement back in her foot. Yesterday at the hospital they felt swelling/lump where the scare was -  What could this mean? After nearly 3 years we feel we are back to square one and have not got any answers. Somebody please help!
