Peroneal nerve damage in MS

I have had MS since 1993.  I have many different symtoms (symptoms) numbness from the waist down, Bladder control issues, fatigue & memory issues. I have been using a walker for about 5 yrs. because of balance problems and a little bit of drop foot.  I go for PT twice a week to work on my balance, gait & strength.   My newest problem is severe pain in my right calf.  First they did a doppler and it was negative.  Second they did xrays of my right foot and ankle and nothing was wrong.  Then they did an EMG and found nerve damage in my Peroneal nerve.  I was told to see a pain managment Dr.  This Dr. said peroneal nerve damage had nothing to do with MS.  Is that right or wrong?  What do you suggest for this pain.
