The following symptoms are very hard for me to describe but i will do my best: A rush feeling through my head that makes me wince and make me feel like my brain is going to shut down and i am going to die on the spot.
Occasional sensations through my head that happen very suddenly and make me put my fingers on myhead where the sensation happened and they make me feel like a needle is being pushed into my skull.
Sometimes as I am trying to fall asleep it feels like i will doze off for a second and i will be awoken suddenly with a sharp feeling at the base of my skull in the back and the feeling like i was not breathing which happens constantly for a few hours until i either wake up and keep active or i finally am so exhausted i fall asleep ,i do not sleep well to begin with and when this happens its impossible to sleep.( happens maybe once every week or two)
When my head and neck begin to act up i get a horrible feelings of dread and cannot focus on anything but the problems and the feeling like it is going to kill me , i have to remove myself from whereever i am and try to walk around and talk to family members to eventually calm myself down, Which for the past few months has set off occasional panic attacks.
I have gotten an MRI of my neck and skull base and it shows that i have a small herniation in my neck. I was seeing one chiropractor all my life and it seemed like sometimes it made everything go away and sometimes it made it worse , he told me it was nothing to worry about and to keep getting chiropractic treatment for pinched nerves and subluxations in my neck which he attributed to an Xray .. After not seeing hte results i wanted i went to a different chiropractor and he told me that the orignial DR may have been adjusting me too harshly and further aggravating my nerves and tendons in my neck , He offered up a de compression machine but afterr skepticism from my father and lack of funding to have the treatment i stopped seeing him.
I have recieved Multiple MRIs of my brain and have found the following ... Chronic Sinusitis , a possible Demylenating Lesion on my brain that was very small , i can not say the place because i do not have my records in front of me (i can follow up if needed) and a Banigne (not cancer? sorry for spelling) cyst in my nose which i saw an ENT about and he said was absolutely nothing to worry about. a Nuerologist ordered the MRIs with and without contrast when i explained my symptoms and found nothing but the lesion and was concerned about Lyme or MS Lyme was negative and MS was not determined because i did not follow up with the neuro because i felt he was very impersonal and did not take into accoutn what i told him about how i felt (just another patient and bill)
I have a report he wrote stating DX Abnormalitiy seen on brain MRI , Suspected Vasculitis please perforn following lab tests ANA Rheumatoid facotr Serologic test for syphilis ESR i have not gotten them done yet
I have had blood tests done and they come back normal for any STDs and for fasting Blood sugar
ANY ides of what i can do ... i am willing to start all over again ... address each thing basis by basis and go to whatever doctor i should see ... i am looking for someone to give me the correct things to say to a doctor in order to find out what is wrong based on everything i have written above ... please please please help me as this is cause great anxiety and i believe depression
If the MRI is older than 6 months u may want it redone w./wo contrast.
The symptoms can fit several conditions...most they rue out first r MS, lupus, lymes...which sounds like u had done already.
Have u had MRI's of ur cervial, thoracic and lumbar spine?
