Please help - post viral muscle fatigue mainly in thighs

I am at wit's end, friends.  Got sick in Aug 2016 and life has been a nightmare every since.  My main symptoms are severe muscle fatigue in both thighs which make walking any appreciable distance almost impossible.  It seemed to ease up just a bit from New Year's until 2 weeks ago when I got another bug...and now it's as bad as ever.  I am a 45 year old male who was fit and active and now I shuffle around my house and that's about it.  I am still working but only b/c I am self-employed with a home office (disability lawyer...go figure).  My wife and I are expecting triplets this summer and I am mortified about my health.  I've seen a neuro, IM and rheumatologist and all tests have been normal (EMG, muscle test, MRs, blood) except for testing + for time indeterminant EBV, Parvo and Coxsackie viruses (which I already knew I'd had going back to childhood).  I could not be any more desperate.  I know there are people who have things way worse (I represent quite a few), but I am so discourage after this latest set-back.  The sensation in my thighs after just mere steps is a burn so deep it feels bone deep.  I have no choice but to stop walking.  I have a four pronged cane which only seems to help with standing (the burn arises while even walking with it).  I am relatively comfortable at rest, though.  Oh, and I have body twitches all over my body (which I could live with).  I am just looking for anybody to share some guidance or words of encouragement please.  I need to get better for my wife and my babies.  Thank you so much in advance for your assistance, folks.
