Please help:

After having CT and MRI scans I have been diagnosed with profound and symmetrical cerebellar hemisphere atrophy.
Every one I know including Drs seem to be very concerned but helpless.
I have not been offered any treatment.
Could someone out there please help and explain what I have and if there is any treatment?.

Hi,

Thanks for writing in.
It is very important to know the cause of cerebellar atrophy in your case. It can occur as a result of stroke, MS, friedrich’s ataxia, encephalopathy, endocrine diseases, alcohol abuse, and tumors.
Please refer to the link below it has some useful information for you.

Hope this helps!
