Pontine hemorrage

by Donyay, Nov 04, 2008 01:09PM
My daughter Leigh 34 died Aug 8,08. She suffered from extreme high blood pressure I just recieved her death certificate and it states the cause of death was Pontine Hemmorage and chronic kidney disease. What is a Pontine hemmorage and did she suffer? Did she feel anything or does death happen suddenly? I wasn't with her when she passed,no one was. She was found in her bed.Could I have done anything if I would of been there with her? I must tell you Leigh was the picture of health. She stood 5"4 weighed maybe 115lbs watched everything she ate or drank. So what went wrong?????????????????

My deepest sympathies for the loss of your daughter. The term Pontine Hemmorrhage was new to me, but it appears to occur in patients with high blood pressure.

The questions you ask may never be answered.Since she was in her bed, I would like to think she went in her  sleep.

Sometime's there is no right or wrong, or anything you could do.
Rejoyce in the fact you had time to share with her, and rejoyce in what she brought to your life.I believe she is still with you, and I am sure wouldn't want you to take on the burden of the what if's.

I am so sorry I can not offer anything else. You may want to ask your dr to explain the condition of your daughter's death, to see if it may be hereditary. You may be able to help someone else from the knowledge.

Godspeed
