Possible Insomnia

by Shelly090990, May 24, 2009 02:24AM
Hi, i would like for someone to help me diagnose or give an opinion on what's been going on with me. At the age of 4 i started getting seizures and it completely stopped 8 yrs later. during those 8 yrs i took a lot of meds. i had mild depression during early teenage yrs.last yr i had major exams and had irregular sleeping like 4 hrs a night, now a year later i still have problem sleeping..sometimes i don't fall asleep until 4am and even wake out the entire night. i think its now affecting my daily activities..for example, this is embarrassing but i was about to brush my teeth and spent approx. 2 minutes squeezing toothpaste unto my 4yr old niece's toothbrush and then as i'm about to brush my teeth i realize what i was doing.. and i sometimes have problem with my memory..like watching a show on tv and during commercials forgetting what show i was watching just a minute ago. .. i would like for someone to respond to this and tell me why its happening and what i can do. Thanks

To: Dear Shelly090990,
This is due to lack of proper sleep your brain is not sharp. For every adult human being minimum 6-8 hrs of sleep per day is a necessity depending on the type of job and age with a little fluctuation. Once you give your brain that rest these memory and other symptoms will be off. Try visiting a neurologist for disturbed cycle and treatment. Try to do some Physical exercise which inturn will induce sleep. Take care!
