Post -surgery recovery

by wil33, Jun 04, 2008 01:09PM
My sister had brain surgery for a Schwanoma a couple weeks ago. Right now she is going thru therapy to help with facial paralisis, her balance is not good either, therefore she can't walk on her own, something called dysphagia is not permiting her to swallow any food other that blended or thickened liquids, there is also double vision when she use both eyes (without covering one), her hearing from the side where surgery was done has a constant vibrating noise. Needless to say she is very depress after this outcome. Is this common after this kind of surgery? If so, could anybody give me an estimate time of how long recovery will take? How much recovery should we expect? Any helpful hints to speed up recovery?
