I have recently been diagnosed with Post PolioPolio immunization (vaccine) Poliomyelitis Syndrome (paralytic polioPolio immunization (vaccine) Poliomyelitis in my legs, age 3, 1955). I've done extensive research and will be seeing a PPS specialist in two weeks. My question ... I've read the optomistic assurances that if one paces and diligently cares for themselves that symptoms can be stayed. I've also read and heard stories about those whose strength and health deterioate quickly. I have had to adjust my lifestyle significantly in the last three months, but now that I'm "listening" and working to keep the pain and weaknessWeakness at bay, what are the odds I can maintain a mobile lifestyle into the next 20 or 30 years? I'm not looking for assurances, simplySimply sleep a reality check.
