Pressure in Head

I continually get pressure in my head, its not a headache, its pressure.  Makes me feel disoriented.  Sometimes to the point where I feel like I am going to pass out, but I don't.  I also twitch/tingling/numbing.  It comes in waves, when I am having fun, when I am relaxed, when I am stressed, when I wake up.  I have had numerous tests, mri or the brain, mri of the sinuses, mri of the spine, cat scan of the head, eeg, emg, ncv, mra, chest x-ray, stress tests, worn heart moniter, ekg, extensive blood work (low b-12/160)doctor had me on b-12 shots, neuro switched me to cerefolin and magox, and MTHFR Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase Mutation HETEROZYGOUS for C677T and the A129C (neuro told me to take an aspirin a day), motion tests with an ent, x-ray of lumbar, hearing test, eyes checked numerous times, thyroid ultrasound, barium swallow, and recently a lumbar punch.  I am currently awaiting those results.  I know this is extensive, but I am in my 30's and feel bad about 3/4 of the time.  I want to be out enjoying life, not lying on the couch.  Please offer any suggestions.

My mother has had a 2 year history of a "pressure headache". She was diagnosed with Tarlov cysts that were thought to be causing the problem. She under went two surgeries to decompress and "glue" the cysts shut. She then had some good mornings with the pressure and throbbing buliding through the day that could not be relieved by any medication.
She now has bad days with "pounding" all of the time which gets excruciating by early evening.
She is also nauseated and weak with periods of severe weakness that she almost collapses.
Every test has been performed but a lumbar puncture to test pressure. Would that proceedure help to see if pressure was high or low?
She was previously a very independent perosn with a great outlook but now is suffering 24 hrs a day and house bound.
Any suggestions?

Hello, I had the same syptoms (symptoms) and still deal with a lot of them. I was diagnosed with Pseudo Tumor Cerebri or Intercranial Hypertension last year and am under going more testing, since it is very rare. I always had more pressure and dizziness as well when the atmospheric pressure was low outside, like stormy weather or cloudy days. I also have visual probs associated with it, but the pressure, dizziness, and disorientation was my first symptom. Good luck, I HOPE they find out what is wrong!

I also have constant pressure in my head. I had a cervical disc removed last December, had a Gamma Knife procedure for trigeminal neuralgia 3 years aso, and have a Prepontine Arachnoid cyst in my brain. Would any of these cause this condition? I have also had memory problems, and general cognitive issues.   Thank you

I am a 48 yr old female in fairly good health. I have some spinal degeneration, spurs, etc and a few yrs back had a disc rupture. Surgery cleaned me up and I deal with back pain by being very careful about how I move. If I keep my spine aligned, mostly I am ok. Arthritis is also a big issue for me and I also have neck pain but I take no meds for any of these ailments at this time. I get around and do just fine as long as I keep moving and move with care. A few mths ago I developed neuropathy in my feet from being on them with 12hr work days. Neuropathy runs in my family, big time. Diabetes and other reasons. Mine seems to be compression neuropathy for I am not a diabetic. I now take 1200mg daily of the neurotin to help with the pain and burning. Now, my real reason for writing..
I have a new unusual symptom: Several mths back (way before I even started on the neurotin) I was standing up vaccuming and had a stinging pain hit the top left side of my head. It seemed to "run" about an inch down toward my ear spreading a warmth then dulled and felt wet. I actually felt to ck for bleeding. Nothing there. I just rubbed the spot and felt a warmth and pressure like a throb that lasted only a few minutes. It was not a headache so it DID concern me because I had never felt that kind of pain before. I had no more until the last few weeks and now I have them sporadicly. Seems they are increasing in their frequency but they are not as severe as the first one and they vary in location on my head yet they have no other symptom that comes with them. They are more dull now and they have NO wet feeling accompanying them. They almost feel scalplike yet they have a throbbing or pulsating feeling with them that feels a bit deeper than my scalp. I have no job or insurance now so I have not informed my doctor of this pain. I feel absolutely fine except the fear that it could be ischemic or pressure from something that should not be there. I do not want to stoke out but I cannot afford to have test at this time. Sounds stupid saying this I know but I suppose I am waiting for some other symptom to accompany it for me to feel there is a bigger cause for concern in order to go to the doctor and deal with all the medical bills from test. While I am "waiting" on some other sign that this could indeed be serious, I am asking anyone if they have had pains like this with no other symptoms present.

My 18 year old daughter is having:
1.) Headaches
2.) Pressure in her head. (She holds her head with both hands when in a elevator)
3.)  Spaces out
4.)  Severe body pain usually in her arms, legs and back and knees
5.)  Her arm feels like someone is squeezing it.
6.)  Memory loss
The symptoms have prevented her from getting a job or going to College.
She has been diagnosed with having temperol lobe seizures in the right and left side.  She has been to a rheumotologist and has a slightly elevated ANA level but all the other testing has come back normal.  The neurologist is looking at doing a spinal tap.MRI with contrast was normal.

I have some similar symptoms, but mine are not debilitating and constant.  Mine come and go.  Someone suggested it might be from artificial sweetners.  I only drink diet drinks about once or twice a month.  Do any of you drink them regularly?  I'm wondering if there really is a correlation so I would like to know if the people who are having the constant problems also drink diet drinks daily.  If so, I'm probably giving it up completely.  Mine seem to be associated with dehydration though.  i take water pills every day and if I don't replenish my fluids, my symptoms seem to come on then.  But someone else suggested Lyme Disease.  She said she has researched it thoroughly and all the symptoms you all describe are part of it, but people often test negative for it.  See the post dated 8/06 or something that far back, but is being responded to again recently.

My Daughter doesn't drink diet drinks.  She drinks mostly water.  She is scheduled to have a spinal tap done on Tuesday.
