I hope this question doesn't seem trivial our in the wrong forum.
Whenever I consume sour foods, such as vinegar flavored potato chips or mustard, sour candies and the like, I begin to sweat profusely almost instantly. I thought this might be salt-related so to test that I tried chewing on the food without swallowing and obtained the same effect. It seems that sour food in my mouth causes me to sweat instantly. This is why I am posting to the neurology forum.
I don't think it is a stress reaction because my heart rate stays the same. What could be causing this, and should I avoid sour foods?
