Pseudotumor cerebri

Posted By Lenore Hodges on December 28, 1998 at 05:02:20:

I have been somewhat diagnosed with pseudotumor cerebri.  I have most of the symptoms.  However the opening pressure of the CFS was 160, and the neurologist says that is not high enough.
Some of the literature suggests greater than 30 is sufficient with other diagnosis characteristics, but one I found suggests that CFS should measure over 200.
What is the normal range for opening pressure of CFS fluid when doing a spinal tap?
Thanks.   My PhD is in nutrition, so I do understand more indepth literature and explanations.      LH
