Pulmonary Embolism

Hello Sir,

My younger brother aged 24 years had got pulmonary embolism 1 year ago and was trated in Escorts Delhi. His all the clots were resolve in and in CT scan after 3 months of operation date, all clots were resolved.The cause of PE was not clear.

He is on Acitrome 1mg , 2mg alternative day since last 1 year and is continuing that...doctor has advised for long term treatment. I want to know

1. For how long this treatment with anti coagulent will continue.

2. What will be long term side effect of this medicine.

3. He does check INR once in 15 day and its around 2.5 ...should he go for more tests regularily or INR test is sufficient.

4. He is planning to get married. Can we put him in marriage with the medication continuation?

Please advise me.

I am not sure what you mean by "put him in marriage". I think this is the wrong forum for that question.
