Pulsation in head

For several months I have had frequent episodes of strong pulsation in my head. It is consistently noted when I take a long drink of water (for pill taking), Valsalva maneuver and some position changes. My blood pressure is normal. I have had systemic scleroderma for three years. This has been improving dramatically with penicillamine. I have cervical stenosis which was an incidental finding on earlier MRI.
I have had negative MRI, MRA and ultrasound of the carotid arteries. I am awaiting a scheduled appointment with a neurologist.
I have plans to fly next week. Is there reason for concern?

It is difficult to say without clinical examination. High BP and aneurysms in brain can cause pulsations in the head, but these two possibilities have been ruled out by negative MRI and BP test.
In some patients migraine causes pulsations in the head. This definitely requires further evaluation and a neurological exam. Meantime take it easy and do not strain yourself unnecessarily.
