RLS associated?

I'm 33, and during my second pregnancy I developed RLS.  My MD told me it would go away after I delivered, but my "baby" is over 2 now, and I'm still having problems at night with both my arms and legs.  Taking vitamins seems to help some, but lately my upper left arm constantly feels strange, and unlike my usual RLS symptoms, the sensation is also present when I'm active (not just when I relax).  It almost feels like a pulling or slightly numb sensation in my bicep that never goes away.  I also have developed menstrual migraines since my second baby.  Could this arm problem be associated with RLS or migraines, or is it something else that I should get checked out??

Thanks!

It should be evaluated. Rarely patients can have very prominent symptoms of RLS at other times of the day, but this is unusual. It may be related to migraine (since migraine can cause many symptoms), but this would only be assumed after other problems have been excluded. After a neurologist examines you they should be able to tell you if it is a problem in the arm or neck. Then a MRI and EMG (muscle/nerve test) may be performed. Good luck.
