RLS

HI..I am 52 years old and I was diagnoised with RLS 6 years ago. I have been on Requip for all 6 years. Now almost every night, unless I can fall asleep fast, have nausea and vomiting.  If I can fall asleep fast it is all ok. I cannot go to sleep without the Requip because of my "crazy legs".  It occurs not only at nighttime, but if I go on a long car trip, long flight, sitting at a movie theater....Also, can the RLS go into your arms? Lately I have had the same symptoms in both arms. Thanks for any info...

Hi there. RLS leads to uncomfortable sensations in lower legs, which occur at night when you lie down, at times during the day when you sit for long periods. This is a creeping, crawling, aching sensation usually occurring in upper leg, feet and arms. The most common side effects of requip or ropinirole in patients with restless leg syndrome are nausea, excessive tiredness or somnolence, vomiting, dizziness and fatigue. You could try to reduce stress and enable muscles to relax with warm baths, gentle stretching exercises and massage. Hope this helps. Take care.
