Hi, this drug belong to anti depressant category but is quite effective in nerve pain too i.e. neuritis. Other drugs like gabapentin, pregabalin, amitryptline, carbamazepine are also effective and are relatively safe as compared to nortryptline.

Have been having back of the head numbness and tingling that has moved to the Jaw area,  All my doc to include my Neuro advised it may have been due to a past EBV infection, was also givin a B-12 shot mine was on the low side.
