Random Skull Tingling

10 days ago I suffered a concussion due to a fall after fainting. We don't know how long I was unconscious (I was alone), but it was no more than 10-15 minutes.  I was unable to remember anything regarding the actual injury (i.e. where I hit the back of my head) or my trip to the hospital and the ER until about an hour before I was discharged.  I 'lost" about 3 hours in total. There was also a mile seizure/convulsion for less than 10 seconds within the first 30 minutes of the injury.  They did a CT Scan and EKG in the ER and I've subsequently had an MRI and sleep deprived EEG.  All were normal expect "occasional slowing over the right frontal central region" in the EEG.

Since my injury, I've had random tingling in my skull that occurs throughout the day in various locations.  Usually, it's near the crown of my head but also shows up on either side of the back of my head and across the top.  I've also had trouble concentrating, have been light headed, occassional dizziness and headaches.  The latter area all common post concussion symptoms so no surprises there, but the random tingling is a bit perplexing.

Any thoughts?  Should I be concerned?  Thanks.

Hi there. A concussion is a brain injury caused by sudden blow to the head or body including high-speed sports, where brain inside the skull shakes, preventing brain to function normally. Symptoms can range from passing out, confusion, coordination and balance problems; nausea etc. post concussion syndrome develops over time and is worse than before injury. Symptoms are headaches or blurry vision. Others include changes in the ability to think, sleep changes, personality changes, becoming anxious or angry for no reason, changes in sex drive, dizziness, light headedness or unsteadiness. Consult your neurologist, who will check your strength, balance, coordination, reflexes, and sensation. CT scan, MRI to check any damage to brain. You would be prescribed acetaminophen, ibuprofen, rest, preventing secondary brain injury, avoiding driving etc. Hope this helps. Take care.
