I have had fibromyalgia for many years and have taken various NSAIDS.  For about 4 yrs I have taken Relafen 500mgs once a day.  I will soon be having a revision of C4-5 acdf due to non-fusion.  Since I will be unable to continue the relafen (which has been very effective for FM pain), do you have a suggestion for an acceptable substitute medication?
I also take Effexor XR 187.5mg daily for depression.  I am a 47 yr old female.

Well this is a tricky one and you will need to discuss and treatment with your surgeon. You could use tylenol which would be safe but may not provide the pain relief that you need. Trilasate is another option which is an ANSAID that have less affect on platlet count and prothrombin time. You will need to discuss this with your surgeon howver. Good luck
