Hi,
What does it mean (neurologically) when your toes do nothing when the sole of your foot is scratched. I understand that a normal response is when your toes flex downward, and that an abnormal response is when your toe/s flex upward with fanning of the smaller toes. But again, to get back to my original question, What does it mean when your toes do nothing? Thanks, Karen
A babinski response is positive when the great toe goes upward and the other toes fan out. It is considered negative when the toes goes toe or no response is obtained.
There is no need to be concerned about it as it is a normal response and does not indicate any neurologic abnormality
