I started to have migranes (migraines) when I was aged 14 (I'm now 25). They occurred
usually several times a month until January 1997, when they just
disappeared (a happy time!).
In November last year I was diagnosed with psuedotumour cerebri (the
neurologist was a bit confused as I'm very tall and very slim). All of a
sudden the migranes (migraines) have returned.
I'm just wondering if there is something sinister in their return, or if
I'm just being over cautious! Is there any link between PTC and migranes (migraines)?
Thanks,
Lj

Yes migaines can come and go. We have written on PTC several times and you should check the archive regarding our dicussion. Do you have evidence of swelling on your optic nerves? Did your doctor diagnose your PTC by spinal tap and did your symptoms improve. Headache is common in PTC and it may not be migraine your are having. Did you have an MRI of your brain to rule out other causes? I think all of these things should be looked at. If you wish a referral to CF cal 216 444 5559.
