For the last 2 months or so , I have been dropping things and the weakness in my hands has become more noticeable along with trembling.  The trembling goes up my whole arm at times.  These tremors are embarssing when you are out in public.     Thank you

Symptoms from carpal tunnel syndrome are numbness, tingling and weakness in
the hand.  The syndrome is commonly seen in patients who use their hands doing
repetitive tasks such as typing.  What happens is the median nerve gets pinched
by the connective tissue in the wrist, causing the above symptoms.
It sounds like you are becoming more symptomatic from carpal tunnel syndrome.
If this is indeed what you have, surgery is quite useful in terms of functional
outcome and relief from pain.  
Speak to your surgeon about whether the time is right for surgery.

Joanne,
Find a doc who knows about Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy before you consent to surgery, especially since you are developing mutliple symtoms (symptoms).
