: Dear Rose sorry about the delay. As neurologists we do not do steroid epidural injections although we do refer patients for them. The medication given for a block is determined by the pain anesthesia doctor who does these. I think we would be speaking out of turn answering this question in light of the fact that it seems to be generating so much controversy. I would recommend that you pose the question on Med Helps general Forum. These are questions that you should ask your pain anesthesia doctor if they are planning on treating you.
