A week and a half ago I posted a question about my mother's condition.
The doctors believe that she has

has suffered short-term

Mental status tests loss, she sleeps much of the time,
and her concentration is very poor. She is improving, however, slowly but surely,
with physical and occupational therapy) She has had various tests, CAT scans,
brain wave tests, and 3 spinal taps. All the tests showed nothing except for
the spinal taps. The spinals showed an elevated white blood cell count which
made the doctors believe that it is a virus and also one of these tests showed
swelling of the brain. If you have any information, please let me know.
