   Dear Dr. Durant,
Just wanted to take a moment to tell you how impressed I was to see your multiple posts regarding your patient.  Your care and concern about his well being and recovery are very refreshing.  Although you feel that your mistakes cost him six months of his life, I believe that he has gained many years of health by having a physician like you. It's hard for any of us to admit that we may not have all of the knowledge needed, but you went the extra steps to find the answers that may have saved a person's life.  I have a physician very much like you, and I thank God every day for him.  Without Doctors like you, we keep moving in circles, without any relief or recovery.  Your patient is very lucky to have you taking care of him.  wish there were more physicians like you.
