My daughter is 4 years old and has been having extreme leg pain behind her knee for the past 2 years.  It is just getting worse.  She can't walk down the street without her legs paining.  She can't go to sleep at night without screaming that her legs hurt.  I give her a heating pad and Motrin but lately it is not helping.  She is always tired, thirsty, urinates alot, and she hasn't been able to eat alot lately because she complains that her stomach hurts.  My biggest concern is her legs because she can't even ride her bike without her legs hurting.  She also falls when she's running. Her doctor has taken blood tests and her LDH level was elevated.  She wants Alexis to have the test repeated.  Then, while we were at the Pediatrician she was concerned that Alexis had too many white cells in her urine.  Alexis will be having a SSEP, EMG and an EKG all within the next two weeks.  I guess that I should add that I have a tethered cord a neurogenic bladder and peripheral neuropathy.  Alexis has already had an MRI which came up negative.  But, then so did mine with my tethered cord.  Also, when she was at the Pediatrician they tested her urine for sugar and protein but it was negative.  So, I guess she doesn't have diabetes.  
What do you think of her symptoms?  Could she have what I have?

Sorry, somehow your posting got lost.  How did the tests turn out?  It is always worrisome for a child to have bone pain that pursists.  Usually, we say that it is growing pains, but usually these are in the long bones and not so isolated behind the knee.  I am assuming that the structure of the knee and the knee mechanics are okay.  I am also assuming that the initial x-ray of the bone showed no abnormality.  The blood work for white blood count, hemoglobin, platelets were all within normal limits?  Was the repeat of the LDH normal?  Did they look at a CK level?  Who read the MRI of the spine-was it a neuroradiologist or just the radiologist at the hospital?  I hope by now that you have your answer.
Please forgive the service.  When we get busy there are some postings that get lost in the shuffle.  I always look out for the pediatric cases and I apologize for missing your posting.
