Thank you SO much for taking the time to respond to my question!  Luckily my doctor has been very responsive to this and has changed my blood pressure medication.  So far the edema has not returned!
What a wonderful service you are providing!!  You all should be very proud of the work you are doing for mankind...God bless you!

:
Good Morning:
On September 5th, I began taking 1/2 mg. of Mirapex for Parkinson's Disease and on September 12th began a full 1 mg. dose. On Sunday (14th) I noticed severe swelling in my ankles and feet.  I checked the adverse effects of Mirapex and find no mention of swelling.  In addition to Mirapex, I am taking Sinemet, Artane, Norvasc.  Could the combination of these drugs cause the severe swelling I am experiencing?  I have a call into my personal physician, but I would like a second opinion as well.
Thank you.
Jean

The medication insert does list generalized edema as being reported.
It is important to rule out other causes of lower extremity edema such as
heart failure and deep venous thrombosis. You certainly need to speak to
your personal physician as soon as possible to determine if any immediate
testing is needed. If no other cause for the edema can be found then it may be reasonable
to stop the Mirapex.
