A movement disorders specialist is a fully trained neurologist who has done further training in the form of a one or two year fellowship in movement disorders. Parkinsons disease is by far the most common movement disorder but other conditions like cerebellar disease and dystonias are also seen by movement disorder specialists.
Usually a movement disorders specialist will be found in a large university clinic.
