Major-gesic insights, other than to consider a repeat, very thorough EMG to be sure there is no ongoing damage to the affected nerve roots or peripheral nerves invloved. There are some rare nerve entrapment syndromes that masquerade as carpal tunnel or cervical disk disease, and it may be that you have one of them. The other possibility, if there is indeed evidence of ongoing damage on the EMG is that you have some sort of inflammatory condition affecting the nerves. The neurology department at Southwest is a very good one. Good Luck!!
