Dear Darcy,
The point in the previous response was to list the possible causes of neck
pain.  It must be emphasized that tumors are a very unusual cause of neck
pain.  Without a thorough history, neurological examination and radiological
workup, it is difficult to diagnose your particular problem.
The listing of a tumor as a possible etiology for neck pain should not
concern you unnecessarily.  Should your pain continue, your best bet would
be to see a neurologist.
Good luck.
