What significance does night sweats have with MS?  Is this a known symptom or is it something else? I am taking a medicine at night to help me sleep because I have nerve pain in my arm and shoulder.  Now the last 2 mornings I have been sweaty. Is this another MS symptom?
Cindy, are you taking any anti-depressants? I started getting really severe night sweats after I began taking Prozac several years ago.  My doctor said that it was not one of the known side-effects of SSRIs & sent me to my gynocologist.  She had me keep a log of the incidence & severity & noted that they followed a pattern with my menstrual cycle.  After a check-up, she could find no specific reason for the sudden onset of night sweats & just attributed it to the hormonal cycle.
No, no antidepressants.  After injury was completed, lost sweating from neck down.  To me, the excessive sweating signified something was wrong in my nervous system. Also had hiccups...not continuous but a single hiccup, like my body needed to adjust something.
BUT, interestingly, about 1 year ago I noticed on the printout my drug store gives out when you fill a prescription that sweating is now included as one of the possible side-effects.
