Well, sometimes right before I try to fall asleep I notice my legs, arms twiching.  Further, when I am sitting down, at rest, sometimes my legs twich.  It is usually just one "major" twich not a series of twiches.  It feels almost like a spark went off in my legs at the same time of the twich.  And lastly, sometime when I type or use my mouse, my right index finger when it is bent shakes a little bit.
What is your opinion?  I thank you for your help
I am a third year law student so stress is present
I take toporol for high blood pressure but have been on it for a year.
THANKS

The twitches you describe sound like myoclonic jerks which occurr in normal people with varying degrees of frequency in the transition stage from wakefulness to sleep, they are a normal physiological phenomenon and have no serious significance. The may also present if you are tired and sleep deprived when you are sitting quietly, the sensation is a sydden abrupt jerk of the legs as you describe.
The twitching of your thumd is not connected, I cannot say what is causing it but most people experience this sort of phenomenon at one time or another and it has no clinical significance.
